The Power of a Smile
“I will never understand all the good that a simple smile can accomplish.” —Mother Teresa
Forbes magazine reported, “Smiling is not just a universal means of communicating, it’s also a frequent one. More than 30 percent of us smile more than 20 times a day and less than 14 percent of us smile less than 5 times a day. In fact, those with the greatest superpowers are actually children, who smile as many as 400 times per day!” (“The Untapped Power of Smiling,” 2011). Another reason the Lord has asked us to “become as little children.”
“Remember, to be carnally-minded is death, and to be Spiritually-Minded Is Life Eternal.” – 2 Nephi 9:39
S.M.I.L.E.= Spiritually Minded is Life Eternal.

The Savior's Smile
“And it came to pass that Jesus blessed them as they did pray unto him; and his countenance did smile upon them, and the light of his countenance did shine upon them, and behold they were as white as the countenance and also the garments of Jesus; and behold the whiteness thereof did exceed all the whiteness, yea, even there could be nothing upon earth so white as the whiteness thereof…
…and he did smile upon them again; and behold they were white, even as Jesus.” – 3 Nephi 19:25-30
The people began to shine even as Jesus did, when they had received his smile. I imagine they also began to smile back, thus becoming “white even as Jesus.” Coming unto Christ will bring us more joy than anything else and it’ll bring the best smile we could ever have.
